Gregory Doherty conducts fitness training. Mr. Doherty has been a nationally ranked powerlifter since he was 14-years-old. Mr. Doherty is a former WORLD CHAMPION POWERLIFTER, TWO-TIME NATIONAL CHAMPION, and has BROKEN OVER A DOZEN NATIONAL and WORLD RECORDS. LIBERTY SPORTSTM combines this “in the trenches” experience with a science-based education (ISSA Certification). All of this experience and knowledge will be working to help you achieve your goals. CUSTOMIZED TRAINING A “one-size-fits-all” routine would be easy to create, but would not provide YOU with optimized results. All training is customized to YOUR likes, dislikes, objectives, abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. SCIENCE, NOT MYTHS The training provided by LIBERTY SPORTSTM is science based. Too many people, trainers included, get their information from magazines. Magazines companies exist to make money and to sell magazines – not to provide you with the best way to train. LIBERTY SPORTSTM exists to provide you with the best way to train and must produce results to keep its clients and maintain its reputation. LOSE FAT, NOT WEIGHT Fad diets and crash courses in working out often result in a loss of weight at the expense of losing lean muscle mass resulting in a slower metabolism – making it more difficult to lose fat. A better solution is to lose fat, while gaining muscle. An increase in muscle mass will result in an increase in metabolism. An increased metabolism burns more fat day and night – even while you are sleeping. All activities and sports require specialized training. The type of training is dependent on many factors, including: the sports being played, age of the player, and the time of year. Routines have to be periodized - varying of training so that the athlete “peaks” for a contest. Our long-term clients are put through periodized routines and achieve results faster. ISSA CERTIFIED TRAINER The ISSA (International Sports Science Association) was the fist fitness trainer organization. Dr. Fred Hatfield Ph.D., MSS founded the ISSA to organize fitness training and to provide trainers with a science-based resource. Dr. Hatfield (aka: Dr. Squat) is a three-time world champion in the sport of powerlifting and is know as Dr. Squat for his record-breaking competition squat of 1014Lbs.
