Revised: June 16, 2004

For your convenience, we have included the following list of web sites related to the shooting sports and the 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution.

  • GREGORY DOHERTY FOR STATE REP. - This is the 2004 campaign web site of Gregory Doherty, the founder of LIBERTY SPORTSTM.

  • National Rifle Association (NRA) - The NRA became incorporated in 1871 to promote and organize the shooting sports.  The NRA has been growing ever since and has expended to become involved with politics.  The NRA, backed by millions of private citizens, is recognized as one of the most powerful lobbying groups in the nation.

  • Gun Owners of America (GOA) - GOA is a rapidly growing civil-rights organization focused on restoring an individual's right to keep and bear arms.  While some other national organizations lobby in Washington to pass "less damaging" anti-gun legislation, GOA fights to repeal laws that currently trample on our freedoms.  As United States Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) stated, GOA is "The only no-compromise gun lobby in Washington."

  • Jews for the Preservation of Firearm Ownership (JPFO) - JPFO is an organization geared toward Jewish people and often relates startling facts from Nazi Germany to present-day situations and laws.  JPFO is a no-compromise 2nd Amendment supporting organization that base their beliefs on historical facts and events.

  • 2nd Amendment Foundation (SAF) - The Second Amendment Foundation is dedicated to promoting a better understanding about our Constitutional heritage to privately own and possess firearms. To that end, they carry on many educational and legal action programs designed to better inform the public about the gun control debate.

  • Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) - The CMP was created by the U.S. Congress. The original purpose was to provide civilians an opportunity to learn and practice marksmanship skills so they would be skilled marksmen if later called on to serve the U.S. military. Over the years the emphasis of the program shifted to focus on youth development through marksmanship. From 1916 until 1996 the CMP was administered by the U.S. Army. The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1996 (TITLE XVI) created the Corporation for the Promotion of Rifle Practice & Firearms Safety, Inc. (CPRPFS) to take over administration and promotion of the CMP. The CPRPFS is a tax exempt not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that derives its mission from public law.

  • Packing.org - This is a great place to find out how to legally carry a concealed firearm, if it is possible in your state. If you have a License to Carry a Firearm in MA and you want to take a trip to another state, you used to have to get a "non-resident" license from your destination state.  Now, with the increasing number of state that issue Licenses to carry, many states are recognizing licenses from other state.  They also try to discuss issues related to carrying in the news and talk sections.

  • Gun Owners' Action League (GOAL) -  This is the NRA's Massachusetts affiliate.  GOAL promotes the shooting sports in MA: lobbies in the state house in an attempt to restore the right of Massachusetts' citizens to keep and bear arms.

  • 2nd Amendment Sisters (SAS) - The 2nd Amendment Sisters is an organization founded by five women.  SAS successfully attempts to get more women involved with defending a person's right to keep and bear arms and promotes women's involvement in the shooting sports.

  • Massgunlaw.com - Massachusetts was once know as the "Cradle of Liberty."  It now hangs its head in disgrace because it does not recognize an individual's right to keep am bear arms.  The complexity of, and the confusion surrounding Massachusetts' gun laws boggles the mind of citizens, law enforcement, legislators, and judges.  Massgunlaw.com is a web site created by gun-rights lawyer Darius Arbabi to assist citizens in understanding MA gun laws and keeping them informed of case law.
